Security

Passcode (dos and don’ts, tips, etc.)

In this day and age, it’s important to keep your device secure. You may or may not want to set up a touch ID (you will read more about it next), but at the very least it’s a good idea to maintain a passcode. Anytime your phone is unlocked, restarted, updated, or erased, it will require a passcode before allowing entry into the phone. To set up a passcode for your iPhone, go to Settings > Passcode, and click on Turn Passcode On. You will be prompted to enter a 4 digit passcode, then re-enter to confirm. Here are a few tips to follow for maximum security:

Do’s

DO create a unique passcode that only you would know

DO change it every now and then to keep it unknown

DO select a passcode that can be easily modified later when it’s time to change passcodes
